Macbeth /1/ - Costume design
“The body is the site where identity as defined by gender, race, and sexuality is located, performed and challenged."
"The actor’s body is used as a surface for the inscription of a visual language and identification, both real and projected from stereotypes. Actors are investigating the temporality contingency and instability of the body; identity is “acted out” on its own and through the use of props and pieces of costume. Through the use of accepted signs and signifiers codes of gender, race, role in society etc are investigated.”
